We’re searching for a dynamic Head of Procurement to develop our client’s procurement processes. In this role, you’ll lead a high-performing procurement team, develop innovative sourcing strategies, and contribute directly to the company’s success as part of the Senior Management Team.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Develop a high value-added supply chain strategy that is applicable to the company business model that shares commercial risk with key project suppliers
• Negotiate and contract with Suppliers and Service Providers
• Source, check and approve new Suppliers
• Recruit, develop and manage the Procurement Team
• Ensure that the Supply Chain delivers on time to support all Projects and Support Services Sales
• Work with Project Management Team and Engineering Team to resolve Supply Chain issues
• Manage project materials spend budgets
• Provide professional advice to the Senior Management Team on Supply Chain and commercial purchasing issues
• Monitor and report on Supply Chain performance
• Identify supply chain issues, find solutions and put them into action
• Provide procurement input to Business Process improvement projects

Qualifications & Experience:

• Expert in Engineering Supply Chain Management
• Strong Leader
• Experienced in Large Defence Project Procurement or similar
• Experience with letter of credits and payment guarantees
• Driven by On Time Delivery
• Experience of developing supplier contracts with delivery performance clauses
• Ability to generate a positive team ethos
