Project Engineer (Marine)
As a Project Engineer, Marine you will undertake marine systems engineering work during the basic and detailed design stage and will translate customer requirements into technical drawings and functional specifications.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Design marine systems engineering (main propulsion machinery, auxiliary machinery, and hotel systems) during the concept, basic, and detailed design stage
- Produce technical drawings, calculations, and specifications.
- Support feasibility, concept, and conversion projects.
- Translate customer requirements into functional specifications.
- Ensure high quality, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with customer requirements.
- Interface with other disciplines to achieve the required project deliverables.
- Help to identify and manage risks, opportunities and lessons learnt during the project.
- Communicate with different equipment suppliers and makers.
Experience:
- B.Sc. in either Naval Architecture, Marine, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- A good understanding of ship main machinery, auxiliary systems, and propulsion systems.
- Ability to produce technical specifications, presentations, and drawings.
- Knowledge and experience of working with Class Societies.
- Experience in technical report writing and presentations.
- Good computer skills (AutoCAD, Office 365 Platform)
