Naval Architect

A leading marine consultancy specialising in high-speed and specialist small craft vessels is expanding its Naval Architecture team and seeking experienced professionals to support a diverse project portfolio across commercial, professional, and military sectors. 

You’ll be involved across the full lifecycle — from concept design and tendering through to class approval and build.

Key Responsibilities 

• Develop hull forms and vessel designs  
• Conduct weight estimates and propulsion analysis (CFD/model data)  
• Perform seakeeping and stability assessments (intact & damage)  
• Support structural design and global arrangements  
• Produce technical inputs and visuals for tenders  
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams

Skills & Experience 

• Degree in Naval Architecture, Structural Engineering, or similar  
• Experience in vessel design, structural analysis, and integrity assessment  
• Knowledge of classification standards (DNV, LR, ABS, ISO)  
• Proficiency in 3D CAD tools (e.g. AutoCAD, SOLIDWORKS)  
• Experience with composites or alternative materials is beneficial
