Field Support Engineer

The Field Support Engineer is responsible for performing system installation and maintenance. You are required to be on-site to ensure work is completed professionally. Together with Support Coordinators and Technical Support Specialists, you are ‘the face to the customer’.
Core responsibilities and tasks include supporting and servicing our installed navigation systems on thousands of commercial luxury yachts, as well as governmental and military vessels worldwide. Your focus should be on quality, efficiency and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Install/Maintain/Service bridge electronic equipment
- Work with Navigation Systems and Communication Systems
- Stay-by onsite deployment based on Customer requests
- Adhere to service requests on date & time, location, scope of work and any other instructions
- Troubleshoot and inspect findings to determine source of problem, rectify or replace with Customers’ agreement
- Escalate any issue beyond the service scope to responsible CS team/management
- Ensure Customer is briefed on worked performed and service report is prepared and signed off by Customer
- Ensure service work rendered complies with internal Service & Support processes
- Ensure compliance to Code of Business Conduct and Quality Management system requirements
- Support projects or other technical jobs required
