Our client was established in 2008 as an independent marine consultancy specialising in the design and technical support of military, professional and commercial vessels and small craft.

Their team is made up of capable and experienced Naval Architects, Mechanical Engineers and Marine Design Engineers.

The business has proven experience of designing and supporting vessels for the UK Ministry of Defence (Royal Navy, Royal Marines and Army), UK Border Force and military, professional and commercial operators worldwide.

Overview Of Position Requirements

  • Degree Qualified MSc, BSc in Naval Architecture,
  • Professionally Registered CEng or on the pathway to achieving.
  • Commercial & Military Small craft
  • Structural calculation & analysis, CFD, 3D mode
  • In-depth knowledge of rules and regulations and international design codes and standards
  • Dynamic and motivated with strong commercial awareness and sound judgement
  • Ability to remain motivated and provide support to other team members
  • Excellent teamwork and leadership skills
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills for dealing with people both within and outside the engineering profession
  • Experienced in dealing with both internal and external customers. The ideal candidate will be motivated by business development and be heavily involved in proposals and winning future projects.
  • Proficient with 2D/3D CAD software and Naval Architecture software, ideally Solid Works.
  • Results-oriented approach with good analytical and organisational skill
  • Work as a role model to junior members of the team and represent the company both personally and professionally at all times
