We’re seeking a Port Captain to manage and supervise the logistics, barge operations, and maintenance operations. Reports to designated Operation Manager.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Covers all aspects of vessel shore support including crew administration, management, movement, assignment, and familiarisation
- Report to the Proponent and QA&CU all Vessel defect and breakdowns
- Compiling an Officer C.V. Package for nomination, as specified there-after of these instructions, as well as notification of any planned crew movements or changes.
- Ensuring every candidate Officer completes the required Familiarisation and evaluation Procedures as specified.
- Assessing the candidate Officer on completion of the required Familiarisation and signing the report as specified.
- Ensuring that every candidate Officer is fully prepared for the Evaluation Procedures as specified in these instructions.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education Degree: Bachelor’s Degree: Average time to complete 4 years.
- Must have a Class 1 Certificate of Competency (Master Mariners Unlimited)
- Extensive experience in similar role
- 48 months minimum Sea going experience
- Offshore Experience: (Indicate the minimum rank and number of experiences required for the job) – 48 months as a Master Mariner on board of SPJUB
- Industrial Experience Requirement: Maritime
- Managerial Experience (Indicate the minimum number of managerial experience): Senior Maritime Officer – Master Mariner Certification on ships of 3000 GRT and over
- Professional Qualifications/Certifications: STCW, Unlimited Master Mariner COC
- Computer Proficiency: Microsoft Office, Oracle, TM Master
- Barge experience: DP1 , DP2 , DP3 & SPJUB
60 days on, 60 days off rotation.
