Job Purpose

Develop sales leads, prepare bids, win contracts and project manage delivery of shipyard projects.

Objectives

Grow Revenue:

• Win sufficient boat building contracts to generate revenue in line with budget targets each year
• Build the company brand
• Meet all customer contracted requirements
• Achieve all contracted project milestones
• Manage acceptance of all project deliverables Control

Costs:

• Manage materials and labour hour budgets to meet Gross Profit targets
• Gather data and learning to improve performance of future projects
• Actively manage risks which threaten project success

Diversify:

• Help the team become a genuine Shipyard not a specialist manufacturer and deliver profitable marine vessel build projects

Responsibilities

• Discover, win and deliver marine vessel manufacturing projects
• Plan, monitor and adjust to achieve commercial success for the project by meeting agreed targets
• Be the main commercial Point of Contact for customer and project stakeholders
• Actively manage risk and opportunities on the project and authorise contingency spend
• Schedule resource requirement for the project
• Issue and manage the project Bill of Materials and develop the procurement schedule
• Help manage and develop the business unit team and its people
• Fulfil the company Values and Behaviours
• Report progress towards Objectives
• Collaborate with other departments to achieve the overall company objectives

Portchester (occasional remote work at home office or Woolston)

Salary

Up to £50,000 per annum
