Senior Scheduler

Qualifications

  • Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field
  • Scheduling experience in complex multi-product, build-to-order production environment, creating project and master schedules and resource plans
  • Experience with scheduling tools, Primavera P6 preferred
  • Experience with Earned Value Management techniques
  • Knowledge of Shipbuilding practices, stage of construction, new build, routing, etc.
  • High levels of familiarisation with ship construction terminology
  • Experience using Aveva, Creo View, Windchill or Autocad would be considered an asset
  • Familiar with schedule risk analysis using Monte-Carlo method
  • Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills
  • Must have strong Microsoft Office Suites computer
  • Ability to work within a team; however, strong capability to work unsupervised

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Creation and maintenance of the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
  • Analyse the IMS and develop “what if” scenarios for in progress activities / new scenarios
  • Integrate sub-schedules into IMS (Primavera/Aveva)
  • Ensure schedule alignment with build strategy
  • Work breakdown structure (WBS) development
  • Multiple project / master schedule development
  • Develop progress reports based on Earned Value techniques
  • Prepare and maintain progress and other report
  • Host regular meetings with other departments and production to analyse progress and forecast
