Job Purpose:
To carry out Marine System Engineering tasks to achieve department and individual objectives.
Objectives:
• Deliver the following Departmental objectives:
– deliver technical analysis, technical budgets, system designs, system schematics, consultancy reports and other design output and support required by projects and SOPs on time and to budget
– define the design intent of the product/system such that it meets the set requirements.
– assist with the submission of plans and documentation to Classification Societies and Statutory Authorities to meet project requirements.
– develop innovation and new technology.
• Operate to the system design procedures.

• Complete tasks in a timely manner

Qualifications / Experience:
• Experience in a Marine Engineering Role
• Excellent team working skills.
• Great attention to detail with complex problems to ensure that outputs are accurate.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Qualified as an Incorporated/Chartered Engineer or be in the process of gaining sufficient experience to apply.
• Experience with Hydraulic Steering Systems required, experience with small craft would be beneficial.
• Experience with Marine Fuel Systems required, experience with small craft would be beneficial
• Competent at using 2D CD, experience with AutoCAD would be beneficial.
• Knowledge of marine hull structures and other marine systems would be beneficial, but not required.
